Content & Safety Policy

This Content & Safety Policy explains what is and is not allowed on Orpheus. It applies to prompts, messages, campaigns, characters, uploaded materials, generated text, generated images, audio, reports, account activity, and any other use of the Service. This policy is an operational draft and is not legal advice.

1. Adult-only service

Orpheus is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. Do not use Orpheus if you are under 18. All characters involved in romantic, sexual, or intimate content must be adults and must be presented as adults. We may restrict or terminate accounts that misrepresent age or attempt to involve minors in mature content.

2. AI content is unpredictable

Orpheus uses AI systems to generate interactive fiction and game content. AI output may be inaccurate, offensive, unsafe, repetitive, incomplete, or unexpected. You are responsible for the prompts and choices you submit, and you should report content that appears unsafe or violates this policy.

3. Mature content that may be allowed

Orpheus may allow fictional adult-oriented storytelling when it is lawful, consensual, and limited to adult fictional characters. Depending on your settings and available features, this may include:

• fantasy violence, peril, horror, and dramatic conflict;
• romance, flirting, and intimate themes between consenting adult fictional characters;
• morally complex fantasy scenarios that remain fictional and do not instruct real-world harm;
• non-graphic references to trauma, grief, conflict, or mature emotional themes.

Even when a category is allowed, Orpheus may refuse, rewrite, limit, or remove content to protect users, the Service, or third parties.

4. Prohibited sexual content

You may not request, create, upload, store, share, or attempt to generate:

• sexual or erotic content involving minors, minor-coded characters, age-ambiguous characters, or characters presented as students/children;
• sexual content involving incest, bestiality, animals, or non-human creatures framed as unable to consent;
• non-consensual sexual content, sexual coercion, sexual assault, drugged or unconscious sexual scenarios, or sexual blackmail;
• sexualized real-person imagery, deepfakes, celebrity sexual content, or intimate content involving a real person without consent;
• sexual content involving exploitation, trafficking, or abuse;
• attempts to evade safety systems through coded language, misspellings, roleplay framing, or indirect prompts.

5. Prohibited violence, self-harm, and illegal conduct

You may not use Orpheus to request, generate, or facilitate:

• instructions, plans, or encouragement for real-world violence, weapons misuse, evasion of law enforcement, or physical harm;
• terrorist or extremist recruitment, praise, propaganda, operational guidance, or fundraising;
• self-harm encouragement, suicide instructions, eating-disorder coaching, or other content that promotes serious self-injury;
• criminal instructions, fraud, credential theft, malware, doxxing, stalking, or harassment;
• threats or abuse targeting a person or protected group.

6. Harassment, hate, and abuse

You may not use Orpheus to harass, threaten, shame, degrade, impersonate, dox, or target another person or group. You may not create hateful content that attacks, dehumanizes, or promotes exclusion or violence based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity, age, veteran status, or serious medical condition.

7. Intellectual property and likeness rights

Do not upload, request, or generate content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, publicity rights, or other rights. Do not use Orpheus to create sexual, defamatory, deceptive, or exploitative content about real people. If you reference third-party characters, settings, brands, or game systems, you are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful.

8. Generated images and visual content

Image generation must follow this policy. We may block or remove visual content involving sexualized minors, non-consensual sexual imagery, exploitative imagery, realistic gore, real-person sexual likenesses, or other unsafe material. Generated images may be refused, blurred, limited, or removed even if related text is allowed.

9. Safety systems and enforcement

Orpheus may use automated systems, manual review, rate limits, feature flags, account restrictions, and other controls to enforce this policy. We may remove content, reject prompts, disable features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or report activity to appropriate authorities when we believe it is necessary.

10. Reporting unsafe content

If you see generated content that violates this policy or creates a safety concern, use in-product reporting tools where available or contact safety@orpheus.gg. Include relevant context, such as your account email, campaign, scene, screenshot, or description of the issue.

11. Policy changes

We may update this policy as Orpheus evolves. Continued use of the Service after the policy changes means you agree to follow the updated policy.
